Water Level Meters - Dippers
Waterline USA

Overview

We make water level meters, also known as well-probes or dip-meters. They are used for finding out how far down well shafts, boreholes, or tanks the water level lies.

Our customers are water authorities, civil engineers, farmers, golf courses, aid agencies, gardeners and so on - people who need to know how far below ground or tank-top level the water level, table or aquifer is, maybe how much it rises and falls over set periods of time - and what's in it!

Well-Probes/Dip-Meters

The Waterline Water Level Meter is an easy-to-use precision instrument for measuring depth from a fixed position to the surface of a body of water. Its main elements are a probe/sensor, a graduated tape, a reel assembly, and a cover plate incorporating circuit board, battery, test/indicator selector, and sensitivity switch.

The result of 25 years experience in the water industry worldwide, the Water Level Meter gives long and reliable service when properly handled and maintained. It may be used to monitor standing water levels in wells, boreholes, water tables, aquifers, and large tanks, to make draw-down tests, and to help calculate volume/time recovery rates.

Features

South East Water supported a charity project in Tanzania to provide bore holes & drinking water using Waterline Dippers

  • Unit comes complete and ready to use
  • Light, rugged construction, with extremely tough and durable reel assembly
  • Selectable indication - TEST position, then either audible buzzer or visual LED display may be used to indicate water contact
  • Flat 1 cm wide tape with clear black and red markings on yellow background
  • Marked in metres, centimetres and millimetres
  • Thin probe sensor
  • Battery easily accessible
  • Tape brakes are standard on our well-probe products.
  • Sensitivity switch with variable setting knob located on the panel for accuracy of signal in differing water and well conditions such as cascading water, and for differentiating between groundwater and dust-reducing foams
  • Highly sensitive circuitry indicates to within 1 mm
  • Completely self-contained - uses one 9 volt battery - no external power or earth required
  • Metric range of models: 30, 50, 100, 150, 200 metres
